Sonoda Christchurch Campus
In partnership with The University of Canterbury, Sonoda University opened the Sonoda Christchurch Campus (SCC) in 1993. These dorms were built with Japanese ascetics in mind. The grounds feature a Japanese Garden with a traditional arched bridge (taikobashi). Numerous groups from Sonoda University and its affiliated institutions over the years have been hosted at the SCC while also providing housing for local students year round. Today the SCC dorms have become a vibrant, multicultural place hosting students from around the world. Sonoda University students, including Sonoda Gakuen Junior and Senior High School students, stay at the SCC multiple times throughout the year.
